The Future Jazz Camp is a week-long jazz workshop for:
Instrumentalists: Middle School-High School
Join us June 26-30 for this week-long workshop that provides music students an intense, fun environment of small and large ensemble rehearsals, jazz improvisation lessons, jazz history, theory classes and individual lessons. Students receive instruction in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere from internationally known artists/educators such as Marcus Lewis (Artistic Director and brass ), Rob Foster (woodwinds and jazz theory), Brandon Boone (bass) Nick Rosen (piano) and Justin Chesarek (drums). This is an ideal experience for musician students interested in gaining performance experience, knowledge about jazz, making new friends or working with pros in an intensive jazz learning environment. Instruction is geared towards any students playing any brass, woodwinds (including flute and clarinet), and rhythm section instruments including drums, vibes piano, guitar, and bass.
The camp will be held at Burke County High School.
The camp will conclude with a group performance.
